Today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Chris Candido. Candido was best known as one half of the Bodydonnas tag team in WWE during the mid 90s. He would go on to win the WWE and ECW tag team championships, and WCW Cruiserweight championship. Candido passed away at the age of 33 from surgical complications after breaking his leg at a TNA event days earlier. Although Candido was notorious for his drug issues in the late 90s and early 00s, he had cleaned himself up and was in the process of making a remarkable career resurgence at the time of his death. Candido’s story certainly ranks among the most tragic in the annals of wrestling history.
